I am a firm believer that everyone has the power to improve the community they live in and the environment that we all share. It doesn’t matter if you’re donating your time, skills, or money, we all have the ability to make small improvements to the world around us. Here are a few ways I’ve gotten involved to make some positive changes.
Charities & Organizations
I choose to support a variety of charities and organizations every year. I donate what I can by providing my services, time, and money to help build and improve our community.
Some of my recent donations and contributions include:
Done Creative
Done started in 2010 as a side project to give me a bit of creative freedom to design, illustrate, and create anything I could think of. I decided from the beginning that I wanted to donate a portion of everything I made and sold to environmental initiatives. One of the first things I created was the ribbon series illustration; I printed a few shirts to see what interest there was. The feedback from the public and retailers was completely unexpected. Not only was there a positive reaction to the designs, but the cause behind it seemed to resonate with everyone.
Here are some of the organizations & initiatives I’ve been able to support from sales of the Done Creative clothing and prints:
CV Collective
I am a partner & creative director for a arts & culture magazine called the CV Collective. The CVC’s mandate is to publish a beautiful, well-written magazine driven by excellence to showcase creativity, play and exploration in and around the Comox Valley.
